A black lightweight manual wheelchair with shiny silver wheel rims - the Kuschall K3

Kuschall K3 Manual Wheelchair (in brief)

This was my first proper manual, but I didn’t last very long with it. It was beautifully lightweight but at that time I was a very active user and demanded a lot from my wheelchairs, and the K3 just couldn’t keep up.

The seating I remember being comfortable and supportive, but the front frame of the chair kept buckling, which would make the footplate catch and drag on the floor. On one memorable occasion I had to wheelie all the way to the repair people.

It’s quite outdated and there will be lighter manuals out there by now, I wouldn’t really recommend this one
